I don't want any "stress" on the USB port from the weight of the cable and SSD nor do I want the SSD hanging loosely by the cable.
Highly recommend this kit.Ĭons: The cloning cable is not long, and you'll need some kind of support for the destination drive. Corsair is a brand name I've come to trust over the years. After removing the old SSD and installing the new SSD, computer booted into Windows with no hitches. I was able to clone my previous C: drive with about 57 GB of data to a new SSD drive in under 8 minutes. If you don't have a disk drive, you can download the software. Cloning software on disk with the cable as well as brief easy to follow instructions. USB 3 cable looked well built and securely fastened to the drive and USB 3 port. Pros: Extremely easy to clone SSD hard drive to larger SSD. Overall Review: If you need to clone a 2.5'" HDD or any SSD, this is the cable you need! Just do not attempt to use with a 3.5" drive even though the package states it can!
