TS4 isn’t what it’s marketed as that’s the first thing. Hope this helps, why do you want to buy sims 4? :) I hate the bugs in dine out and dream home decorator especially and if I didn't enjoy the clothes and furniture items of dream home decorator I'd honestly try to get a refund because the main point of having a career as an interior designer is so buggy and ruins my game play when my Sim doesn't get paid for a failed gig even though she did everything they asked and they SAID they liked it. What items you get, clothes, game play and especially aware of bugs. Financially, I would advise you wait for a sale and watch videos or ask around about a pack you're interested in buying so that you're informed on exactly what you're getting. I love playing the sims 4 personally but I also have almost all of the packs and I don't think I would be able to play it for as long if I didn't because a lot of things that I do in the sims are from different packs. $45, if I remember correctly, is the same price for an actual game and seems a lot to me to pay for an add on.īuild mode doesn't have the colour wheel/pattern picker any more but you can pick up and move entire rooms which is very handy and for James Turner at least, building in 4 is much more efficient in regards to tools and game performance. The expansions also add up in costs so I always recommend to get the packs when they are on sale rather than full price. I prefer to just get them to a cage which isn't even a part of the base game-I think. Dine out needs reworking as sims often have to wait for HOURS for their food and drink be up getting really tired and it's just a hassle so I don't even play with restaurants in my worlds.

Sims seem to have more personality in 3 as well since you can choose their favourite foods and they get more traits and traits to choose from as well.Įxpansions can be quite buggy in 4 as well. I feel that a lot of features were stripped away in sims 4 as well though they are slowly being added back.

Without expansions there is very little to do in Sims 4. From everything I have heard, the answer would be no? I've played only a little bit of sims 3 but a lot of sims 4.
