When I played around on Ubuntu, all Fn keys were working fine, so I switched off the Wifi to save power in battery mode. The laptop came preinstalled with a special Dell Ubuntu flavour, which seems to have included a few Dell specific packages and some firmware. So I installed OpenSUSE 13.2 on my new Dell Precision M3800.
